Welcome to Sundance Lodges! We offer unserviced RV & tent campsites as well as the tipis and trapper's tents. Sundance is a "wilderness" style campground - quiet and rustic. Sites are well treed and connected to other sites by a winding road. Two tents or two RVs or one of each are allowed on each site with a surcharge applicable for the 2nd item. This is a heavily forested area and although we endeavor to keep trees trimmed along the roads, campers are responsible for assessing the leeway for their particular RVs.

SITE DESCRIPTIONS
(Total of 30 sites)

• Secluded "back-in" sites
• Several pull-through sites
• Several open "sunny" sites
• One "walk-in" tent site

All sites have a picnic table and fire pit with a half-grill for cooking.

RESERVATIONS

• Strongly recommended, especially for weekends & long weekends All sites are open for booking; however, we do take drop-ins if we have room.

WATER

• No water at your site. However, there are 3 wells with hand pumps (all drinkable water); one of these also has a hose with which you can fill a water container or your RV.

DUMP STATION

• As we are so close to the river, we do NOT have a station. The closest ones are: Barrier Information Center (10 minutes north on HWY 40) and Mt. Kidd (10 minutes south on HWY 40).

ELECTRICITY

• No power at your site; however, there is electricity in the washrooms at the Trading Post.

FIREWOOD

• Available for purchase at the Trading Post; you are most welcome to bring your own (as long as it isn't from British Columbia - sorry!)

PETS

• Are accepted with a $2.00 charge per pet/per night.
• Please respect campers who prefer not to have pets around: do not leave pets alone at the site when you go hiking or driving - a barking dog can ruin a pleasant afternoon for your neighbor.
• Please keep your pets on a leash and out of the buildings.

CHECK-IN TIME

• between 2:30 pm and 8 pm (low season); 9 pm (high season)

CHECK-OUT TIME

• by 12 noon (campsites only)

QUIET HOURS

• between 10:30 pm and 8 am

We are a family campground; no "partying" or offensive behavior is permitted at any time. Come to Sundance if you like the peace and quiet - we do our best to give it to you.

LOCATION

• 22 km (or nearly 14 miles) south of the TransCanada (HWY 1) on HWY 40 in Kananaskis Country.
• HWY 40 is closed at the south end from December until June 15th (annually).
• Only 45 minutes from Calgary and 45 minutes from Banff.
• Approximately 1.5 - 2 hours from the Calgary International Airport (give yourself lots of time to get through the city)
