Sundance Lodges is a unique, family campground located in the heart of the spectacular recreation area known as Kananaskis Country on the Alberta side of the Canadian Rockies. Visitors enjoy beautiful, authentic tipis, comfortable trapper's tents and secluded unserviced campsites nestled in the forest - all a short walk from the glistening Kananaskis River.

Imagine an infinitely more natural way to wake up in the morning after a night of refreshing sleep in your Tipi or Trapper’s Tent. Imagine listening to birds singing and squirrels and chipmunks chattering and playing in the trees. Getting up quietly, you turn off the heater, slide into your clothes and then slip outside. Before long, you’re enjoying the warmth of the crackling campfire, taking pleasure in that first sip of hot coffee, watching the golden rays of the sun light up the peaks of the mountains. Then, someone starts chopping wood. It 's time to get cooking - 'Hey, everybody, breakfast is ready!'

Now for the most difficult question of the day:
'What do you want to do first? Do we make a day trip to Banff or Calgary (both 45 minutes away) or stay in the Valley? We could hike Galatea? Go horseback riding, mountain biking or kayaking on Barrier Lake? Then after supper, we could make s’mores over the campfire?'
